Wellness Breakfast & Cancer Research Symposium
Start your Saturday with a nutritious breakfast prepared by Montage Chef Jason Pringle. Following the breakfast, guests at the Cancer Research Symposium will hear from some of the nation’s leading scientists as they share more about the groundbreaking research being funded by the V Foundation. The researchers will discuss their backgrounds within the cancer research community, their current research projects, and the impact for patients and their families. Guests will get insight into the future of cancer research directly from the world-class scientists who are on the frontlines of accelerating Victory Over Cancer®.
Gala & Auction
The pinnacle event of the Sonoma Epicurean weekend includes an epic feast and spirited auction. The gala will offer guests gourmet food selections, the region’s best wines and a lively auction to benefit the V Foundation for Cancer Research. This year’s auction lots include experiences, packages and one-of-a-kind items that are offered exclusively for this event. Attendees will have the thrill of engaging in friendly competitions among fellow bidders, while also supporting the most cutting-edge research in the nation with every paddle raised. The Gala & Auction is the grand finale of a memorable weekend that will provide the precious gift of hope to so many patients and families.
Auctioneer – Liam Mayclem
Emmy Award winning radio & TV personality Liam Mayclem is best known as the host of Eye On The Bay on KPIX 5 and as “The Foodie Chap” celebrating our home grown culinary stars (daily on KCBS Radio). He will soon be seen on the Travel Channel show – “World Access.”
Every year Liam as Foodie Chap hosts the main stage at Eat, Drink SF – a gathering for our food fans. Liam also hosts the culinary stage at Bottlerock Napa Valley, where he made sushi with Chef Morimoto and rapper Snoop Dogg, tasted fried chicken made by Hip Hop artist and reality star Flava Flav and enjoyed nitrous cocktails concocted by Chef Dominique Crenn.
The Foodie Chap can also be seen hosting “Plated” a live chef demo series and various cellar events at Macy’s Union Square with culinary stars. Liam hosts an annual Foodie Cruise with Crystal Cruises taking his foodie followers to places all over: Asia, Europe, The Mediterranean, and beyond.
